For the Vertical Queen cabinet enclosure & bed frame, you will need Four (4) 3/4" thick sheets & Two (2) 1/4" thick sheets. Does a Murphy Wall Bed Require a Special Mattress? No, however it must fit within certain specifications noted in the listing. A standard queen mattress between 50-85lbs and no more than 12" thick. What DIY Woodworking Skill Level Is Required To Build This DIY Murphy Bed? Somewhere between Beginner to Intermediate. We don't recommend this be your first ever DIY project, but the detailed step by step instructions make it easy.
