Ages 3 and up. This instrument assesses knowledge of common, everyday nouns as the student names pictures. Labels for the nouns tested are listed in the manual in English, Spanish, French, and Italian. Record forms with answers listed in English and Vietnamese may be ordered separately. Designed for use as an initial screening, this measure can be helpful in determining whether or not the child is able to label articles of clothing, tools, motor vehicles, and other nouns commonly encountered in school, in the supermarket, and at home. Only high-frequency nouns are assessed. Examiners, however, may also use the instrument to obtain descriptive information by asking questions about the individual items. This easy-to-administer screening is tell you if the student has a knowledge of basic vocabulary. The complete kit includes the manual and 50 record forms. The standard record forms are designed so that responses can be recorded in any language spoken by the child.
